About O'Brien Joinery

History & Development

O'Brien Joinery was established in 1990 by Colin and Kerri O'Brien. They started with a small workshop in Glenorchy, Tasmania with just one apprentice. The business has since expanded and now includes a larger workshop, offices and kitchen showroom. O'Brien Joinery now has fourteen employees, with combined industry experience of over 100 years!

Continued development is due to the recent purchase of a computer numerically controlled machine, which allows speedy and accurate production of cabinetry. We have also purchased state of the art 3D imaging design software so our customers can see exactly what they're getting before we begin. We're committed to making O'Brien Joinery the best it can and staff travel interstate and overseas to keep up to date with the latest trends, materials and technology.

Our Customer base

Recent work includes private renovations, new homes, commercial sites as well as many projects for award winning builders throughout Tasmania. New customers are encouraged to view examples of our recent work in our showrooms or builders' display homes.
